Mangroves, Jungle and Beaches: Cancun has it All!

You can’t help loving Cancun. Those who have ever been to this beautiful beach resort naturally adore it. Cancun was thought and built as a high-end tourist destination, where even the most demanding travelers can find what they’re craving for. The area’s natural beauty helped quite a lot and the Mexican government did the rest. The result: one of the most popular beach resorts worldwide, visited annually by around 3.5 million tourists.

Cancun’s bustling Hotel Zone offers the perfect combination of nature and luxury right on hand. Most of the hotels in Cancun are splendorous; hyper comfortable and ideally located right in front some of the most idyllic beaches in the world. The Hotel Zone is beautifully framed by the turquoise Caribbean Sea to the east and the deep-blue Nichupte Lagoon to the west, offering plenty of different natural landscapes to explore and a huge array of activities to enjoy. Mangroves, jungles and beaches: Cancun has it all!

Cancun

                                                            Cancun!

  • Nichupte Lagoon: an adventure through mangroves and jungles

The impressive Nichupte Lagoon is a lagoon system that comprises seven different bodies of water and covers more than 3 thousand hectares. The Nichupte Lagoon is the habitat of four different varieties of mangroves (black, white, red and buttonwood). Many types of wild species inhabit the swamps, the water and the mangrove forests, turning the lagoon into one of the most popular attractions to visit in Cancun.

Many tours are offered online to spend a couple of hours sailing, water skiing, kayaking or fishing in the lagoon’s calm water. Yet, undoubtedly, the most popular of these tours is the Jungle Tour Sunrise Marina, which gives you the chance to drive your own watercraft through the dense mangrove forests to reach the second largest barrier reef in the world: Palancar Reef. There, you can spend some time snorkeling amidst beautiful coral formations and tropical fish until you return to the marina. The experience is really awesome and no one should miss it!

  • Overfly the jungle!

Adventure tours in Cancun offer you the chance to feel a huge adrenaline rush in the jungle! Xcaret and Xel-Ha are two of the main family attractions in Cancun, and invite you to enjoy full days of incredible entertainment in the beautiful and dense jungle near Cancun. There are amazing zip-line tours to admire the forests from the sky; great trekking tours amidst the amazing autochthonous wildlife and swimming and snorkeling experiences in the magical cenotes. Other attractions include a huge bat cave, an orchid museum, crocodile and turtle sanctuaries, and an island of jaguars, among many other great activities. Two real must-visit parks in Cancun!

  • Cancun’s First Love: the Beach

Cancun beaches are among the most beautiful ones in the world, and if you’ve ever seen a picture in a brochure or a magazine, you surely can see why. Whatever type of tourist you are, there is a beach that has exactly what you’re looking for in Cancun.

If you’re travelling with kids, you may prefer to enjoy the beaches located in the northern area of the island, by the Bahía Mujeres. Here, the waters are warm and the surf is calm, which makes these beaches ideal for swimmers, snorkelers and families. If, on the contrary, you want to practice paragliding and water skiing, or relax on the large white-sanded beaches of the magazine-photos, head to the Caribbean coast, on the east side of the island; where the surf is higher and the marine breeze is stronger. Below the sea level, a beautiful and colorful world is waiting to be explored. You can take snorkeling, diving and even Subsee Explorer tours to admire Cancun’s marvelous underwater life.

There’s so much to do in Cancun! Book your hotel room as soon as possible and come discover why you can’t stop loving Cancun once you know it.
